No Easy Way

Some of the finest views in Iceland can only be seen from a distance, unless you're willing to undertake a long and difficult hike.

If I was younger, fitter, and stronger, I'd happily spend a day getting as close to this beauty as possible. I had to content myself with this, but I'm happy to have seen it on such a lovely day.

Stígafoss in Fossagil canyon beneath Stigárjökull, Hornafjörður in south-eastern #Iceland.

A photo of a rugged canyon, steep brown rock walls with green growth on the more horizontal ledges. In the top left corner of the shot is the snout of a glacier. In a deep cleft in the mountain, a tall horsetail waterfall is dropping. Other smaller cascades are visible throughout the scene.
