@farah Kiddo missed a word. "...Maple syrup to make some stuff STICKY". Whether you like it or not, that's really about all it actually does.

@farah There are many reasons for which I can't speak too loudly lest they take my Canadian card away (Psst! I don't like hockey! Shhh!), but one is that I don't like maple syrup. I grew up with the other stuff, and I'll enjoy it until I die.

Actually, this is something I was just pondering today: What is the other stuff supposed to taste like?

"Fake food" is always made to taste like something, even if it fails. Choclatey cookies, "banana" flavour, etc. But the non-maple syrup isn't made to even attempt to taste like actual maple syrup, it's just... syrup. Is it supposed to take like something?
