This morning the kids and I were still using VDSL. Because A&A told me that they were going to upgrade us, for free, to a cheaper plan on FDDI, I am writing to you now from a cheaper, faster net connection.
I asked a few questions, and got the schedule I wanted and learned exactly what I needed to put in (a double socket and some cabling).
They tried to give me an extra modem, too. For free.
At that point I felt so overwhelmed that my deepseated instinct to hoard hardware failed and I said no, thanks, my existing router can do it fine, it knows how to do PPPoE on WAN2.
And the Openreach installer was lovely. We were offline for about an hour at most.
