Because it’s needed at the moment, three good things…
1. Labs came back universally positive
2. Truffle fries
3. Afternoon coffee with hot chocolate in it
Now my body’s ready to fight more fascism.

I am wiped but my amazing friend has built a cube storage thing and a bookcase from IKEA for me, helped move things around, built some lightweight cubes into the top of my wardrobe, and bought me lunch.
My bedroom has a bit more space now due to the change in furniture and my bookcase(s) being on the landing now, so easier to move around which is so helpful.
Still some bits need doing but it's a huge improvement. I'm so grateful.

This Saturday, the 24th, will mark exactly three years since I ran away from home to join the Fediverse!
In the 1095 days betwixt, I have learned a ton from y'all, grown so much as a person, had a bunch of adventures, and changed most of my life
Some of the highlights were:
- ⚧️ discovering I'm nonbinary
- 💞 surviving a suicide attempt
- 🧠 writing a cool paper on autism diagnosis
- 🏃🏼♀️ leaving my abusive marriage
- ❤️🩹 doing suicide prevention check-ins with folx
- 🔞 becoming an adult content creator
- 😘 dating a few Fedi folx
- ❤️ meeting my two amazing partners
- 🔓 becoming RedTeamTools' brand ambassador
-
making the TeslaFire emoji
- 💝 meeting like 100 Fedi folx IRL
- 🐈 saving a cat
- 🩸 paying a street medic's medical bills
- ❤️🔥 founding @AltAfterDark
- 🐟 saving a couple big fish from a net
- 🩹 helping multiple people recover from surgeries
- 🤯 being followed by over 7000 of you
- 🫠 getting fan art & music from y'all
- 🤘 learning electric guitar & bass
And *all*¹ of those were only possible because of you. Thank you. Thank you so, so much.
¹ I'm sure this list is missing a ton of things 😅²
² I'm running out of emoji 😋

What kindness have you seen on the internet lately? Here’s one wonderful example to get you started:
“I asked for German sci-fi books for my middle kid, who is struggling with his German grammar.
He's dyslexic and loves reading my scifi books in English, to the detriment of his German."

When you’re having a bad day these small acts of kindness have an even bigger impact - what examples of that can you think of?
Here’s one sent in by someone anonymously:
“When I was in MacDonald's the other day someone picked up my wallet for me that I dropped, and because I was noticeably struggling to hold everything hence the purse drop, they then held doors open for me."

#TBT | From Then to Now 💪🏽
🗣️ 20+ years in the fitness industry—and there were times my personal journey with clinical depression and sobriety brought real challenges. The support of friends and the medical community was a lifesaver.
Now 11 years into recovery, I’m thankful for this community, for the path I’m on, and for the opportunity to keep moving forward and support others on theirs. One day at a time. 🙏🏽

“It’s a small thing but after picking up my daughter from pre-school we typically go to the bakery to get chouquettes (French pastry). I usually order three… and lately the lady from the bakery has been giving us LOTS of extra ones.
The first time it happened I literally gasped… she said just smiled and winked at us."

1. That I can be still in the morning and just be present. No need to prove. No need to produce. Just stillnes.
2. Time spent with my Sangha.
3. Spending the New Year practicing right effort.

Your kindness gave our social media manager, @alexisbushnell , 2 weeks off!
“I’m the social media manager here at TfK and I put out a call on 1st Dec for stories of kindness so that I could get them scheduled and take a couple of weeks off over the festive season.
By that evening we had almost all the stories we needed to do 1 post every day for the whole month of December!
A week later we had content until mid-January."
