@martin there are a handful of men who used to dance with me before I took my leading from the classroom to the milonga. "If she wants to act like a man, I'll treat her like one" is kind of the vibe I got.

Some of them seem skeptical of the correction from "so, you're a leader now" to "I'm both."

@martin I'm sure sometimes it's not conscious.

Dancing with that guy who called me lucky only happened after _several_ rounds of having this conversation on the way out the door at other milongas _and_ waiting for his girlfriend to be out of the way so he wouldn't assume I was aiming for her!

Me: "I'd love to dance with you again. It's been a while."

Him: "But I don't know how to follow."

Me: "I do! I want to follow you."
