Valve's Proton compatibility layer (based on WINE) has made a big splash by allowing most Windows PC games to run on Linux. @bradlinder Do Proton and Lepton upstream changes to WINE and Waydroid respectively in addition to wrapping/packaging them for ease of use?

I'm assuming alot in that question and would love to know exactly how they relate.
