Here's a video posted by an active duty Navy Chief stationed on the USS Truman in Norfolk VA.
He details recent situation where one of his sailors upon returning from an active duty deployment ended up detained by local cops + ICE on his way to a gas station for not looking American enough.
Pretty bad when the boot's aren't safe.
@nullagent He warns to carry your passport if "you look like you might not be American," by which he means carry your passport if you look Hispanic. If you look lily white, you might be Canadian. No one "looks American" ffs.

In the USA, nobody is safe. Who would have ever expected that we would say that of the USA?
