NEW | U.S. Demands Return of Undetonated Israeli Bomb After Strike on Lebanon
U.S. is now pressuring Lebanon to return an undetonated GBU-39 bomb fired by Israel during its strike in Beirut’s southern suburbs. The failed bomb, found intact, has raised Washington’s alarm that it could fall into “Russian or Chinese hands”.
Israel’s strike killed five civilians and wounded 28, targeting residential buildings in a blatant violation of international law and the one year old ceasefire.
