"The involvement of a range of tech companies in Israel's attacks on its neighbours in recent years, as well as for attacking and surveilling Palestinians, has sparked anger from rights campaigners and UN officials.
In a report produced by UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese in July, several tech companies were accused of profiting from crimes including illegal occupation, apartheid and genocide in occupied Palestine.
The report referenced AI systems that were developed by the Israeli military to process and generate targets during the war on Gaza.
"There are reasonable grounds to believe Palantir has provided automatic predictive policing technology, core defence infrastructure for rapid and scaled-up construction and deployment of military software, and its Artificial Intelligence Platform, which allows real-time battlefield data integration for automated decision making," the report said.
In the report, Albanese called on UN member states to suspend all trade agreements and investor relations on any inviduals or entities that endangered Palestinians. "

Lichaam Thaise gijzelaar geïdentificeerd, resten Israëlische agent nog in Gaza
Israël heeft stoffelijke resten geïdentificeerd die het land gisteren van Hamas kreeg. Het gaat om de Thaise landarbeider Sudthisak Rinthalak, een van de twee dode gijzelaars die nog in handen waren van de terreurorganisatie. Dat betekent dat het lichaam van de Israëlische politieagent Ran Gvili het laatste is dat nog moet worden teruggebracht.
Het overdragen van de lichamen is onderdeel van het bestand tussen Israël en Hamas dat op 10 oktober van kracht werd.
Het lichaam van Rinthalak werd door het Rode Kruis vanuit Gaza overgebracht en overgedragen aan het Israëlische leger voor forensische identificatie. Rinthalak was 42 toen hij werd gedood in kibboets Be'eri tijdens de aanval van Hamas op Zuid-Israël op 7 oktober 2023.
Hamas heeft ermee ingestemd om alle levende en omgekomen gijzelaars in Gaza uit te leveren aan Israël. Sinds het begin van de fragiele wapenstilstand heeft de Palestijnse militante groep alle 20 levende gijzelaars en 27 lichamen teruggegeven in ruil voor ongeveer 2000 Palestijnse gevangenen.
