How to Be A Linux-Based Graphic Designer
LogosByNick has some great tutorials; I absolutely loved his Inkscape class series. This addresses some of the challenges in doing #GraphicDesign in a Linux environment, e.g. getting CYMK color exports in #Inkscape.
He also talks about running Windows in a VM to give access to Adobe apps. My own life preferences preclude using anything Adobe ever again, but I'm also not dependent on graphic design for income, so that's an easy call to make.
I should look into running Word in a VM somehow. That's the only thing my wife NEEDS from Windows, for her editing work.
