@doctormo Endless thanks for your work on #CMYK and #Inkscape. I just finalized another large project for a non-profit that had to take a detour to #Scribus for CMYK prior to print. One day that detour will be unnecessary thanks to your work.

To others: If you're able to support this work, please strongly consider it. Recently, we have seen changes in ownership bring ruin to a great many things ― demonstrating the importance of #freesoftware that cannot be owned in this way. This week's #inkscape update video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axf28yT7-98 just in time for a Saturday night release... which I then messed up in export. Oh hum.

Man open source project management is a tough gig. The end of the update covers some of the difficulty of organising when you lack people who could do the organising work. For example we're not doing GSoC this year, or events, and it's difficult to accept we just can't do everything with the time we have.

Any favourite property #floorplan 2D/3D design apps for #Linux?

I've tried some and all have good points but also drawbacks that limit usefulness.

I am renovating a property 🏠 and want help modelling and remodeling. I don't want to use subscription services. Reasonable UX, ideally undo and ability to input and view internal room dimensions is important.

All suggestions and experiences appreciated. 🙏

@happyborg We did it with a simple #xournal / #xournalpp drawing as we have devices with pen-support. As a drawback, you need to construct everything first and everything isn't exact, but it just works. Otherwise #scribus or #libreoffice Draw might work.

Hat vielleicht jemand von Euch Interesse am vhs-Online-Kurs "Desktop-Publishing mit Scribus" teilzunehmen?

Der Kurs soll am nächsten Dienstag 14.10., 9-16 Uhr online stattfinden. Ich wurde nun allerdings informiert, das noch eine Anmeldung fehlt, damit der Kurs stattfinden kann...

#Scribus ist eine FOSS -Alternative zu Adobe Indesign bzw. QuarkXPress für Seiten-Layout und Desktop-Publishing. Es gibt Versionen für #Windows, #MacOS, #Linux u.v.m.
