You may have heard that American e-bike company, Rad Power Bikes may be going out of business:

Q7. What do you think of the situation, where an e-bike company with many bikes sold and proprietary parts may go out of business?

@ascentale @seabikeblog @bikenite A7 #BikeNite Obviously a crappy situation, and I guess eBikes just compound the issue of proprietary parts being used across the cycle industry and beyond.
This is US, but i'm curious as to how the EU's Right to Repair Directive (which guarantees 10 years of spare parts) plays out when a company folds.

@seabikeblog @bikenite A7. I feel bad for the many who are affected. I hope that there is an aftermarket solution in the future for replacement parts and repair, or hopefully there's a healthy acquisition by another company that will support existing customers.
