➡️ and prove your value to those who never had to question theirs.
That ongoing conversation with yourself, between what you know to be true and what you’ve been conditioned to believe, is trauma.
This is the trauma of being smart and capable in a world built on the foundations of the myth of white supremacy.
A world where your brilliance is questioned, your competence is policed, and your confidence is labeled aggression.
A world where your excellence is expected but never celebrated, your presence tolerated but rarely welcomed.
And I’m louder and I push back harder than most…not because it’s easy, but because silence costs too much.
Every time I walk into a space where the unspoken rules were never meant for me, I’m reminded that surviving this world requires more than intelligence.
It requires resilience.
It requires community.
It requires healing.
Because being the moral compass, in a world that keeps trying to convince you otherwise, is its own act of rebellion.
