@EUCommission It would be really neat if you took the euros used for these PR bits and applied them to reversing chatcontrol, digital spying, and anti-refugee action.

@EUCommission This is what you did not promise. You are restricting citizens. You are encouraging states to check passports for no reasons. You are installing a second Stasi in the EU. Shame on you.

@EUCommission Europe without privacy is not Europe. It is Iran then. Stop the chatcontrol finally. It is not the culture.

@EUCommission

The EU culture you are actually establishing:

- Mass surveillance ( #ChatControl, #dataretention, #omnibus )

- Threatening the access to free information, communication and journalism ( #ChatControl again)

- Society of digital control in the interest of big tech corporations and authoritarian institutions ( #digitalidentity, #europol)

- Drowing people in the mediterranean and letting them suffer and die at EU borders ( #Frontex)

- Reckless Militarism, authoritarianism, neonationalism and neoliberalism, normalisation of corruption and lobbyism in and by your postdemocratic institution.

Nope, that's definitely no culture or vision worth to fight for. Quite the opposite actually.

As an artist I'd like to know, if this @EUCommission announcement means that you're considering to implement the #UBI model (for artist) from #Ireland, or not?

Since you didn't drop the #artists name and source of the #vector #illustration, may I ask if there was a #European human being involved in this creation? It's not just #aiSlob, isn't it?

@EUCommission you cannot promote culture and attempt to spy on every single citizen at the same time.

Just before a decisive meeting in Brussels, digital rights expert and former Member of the European Parliament Dr. Patrick Breyer is sounding the alarm. @EUCommission "Fair conditions for artists" but let's push through policies like #ChatControl and do away with GDPR to ensure Big US Tech can train AI on everything an artist ever creates without them ever seeing a single cent.

If you are serious about supporting culture and arts, you don't compromise on regulating theft of cultural capital for the purposes of automated plagiarism.

@EUCommission If you support #ai companies and the way they use the works of artists, there will be no cultural future.

@EUCommission You can’t promote culture while trying to spy on every citizen. Especially not while sneakily trying to pass a law that the people are against.
