Thoughts on the game (which I just got back from...I left for this game at 8am 😭)
1. jesus christ spirit do you not care about our blood pressure
2. at a certain point, one has to wonder if it's something about aubrey that's making people take terrible PKs somehow
3. spirit defenders took 100% of the PKs and sank 100% of the PKs
4. if one Louisville player had to sink their PK I'm so glad it was boats
5. pretty worried about gabby and tara, we can't lose both
Second cutest thing i've ever seen in my life: andi sullivan running to collect aubrey for the group photo and running back with her hand in hand...then doing the same thing with gift
*first* cutest thing i've ever seen in my life: at one point in the first half sofia cantore went all out for a ball, missed, and stayed collapse with head in hands on the ground. gift monday knelt down next to her and gave her a soft consolatory head butt
@shauna I saw that Monday forehead boop to Cantore. So sweet 🥹
Oh yeah we also had two Free DC chants today! The first one took me completely by surprise. I forgot that with eight minutes of stoppage time we'd get to the 51st minute!
In the last calendar year Spirit have been in three penalty kick shootouts.
Spirit have converted 10 out of 10 kicks.
Aubrey Kingsbury has stopped 8 of 11 kicks.
