now that I've rebuilt my old system of task awareness / time management with open-source tools, ~6 years after the last one imploded due to moving into a high overwhelm scenario, the issues I used to have with the old system are all coming back to me … when I remember that tasks exist, I hyperfocus on them a lot more, manage task switching poorly, and am *fucking terrible* at estimating how many I can do per unit time.

still, more are getting done now.

I said this mumble days ago, but I'll say it again, it's wild how much all my routines have been scrambled just because I am now suddenly much more aware of what I need & want to be doing at any given moment.

I'm still trying to adapt, and having problems doing so. of course some of my backlog is high-effort tasks which take multiple hours to do and almost *require* hyperfocus to get done, so that's having an effect.

the more life I experience, the more evidence I get that I completely forget current state information WAAAAAYYYYYY more easily than most people. if I don't have a pretty comprehensive set of crutches to keep me on track, I really just do not remember what I'm doing or was doing or need to be doing most of the time. I see a squirrel and the information, intention, and object constance of everything else vanishes immediately. #ActuallyADHD #ActuallyAutistic
