URGENT February Mutual Aid (112/1200) food/med/heat insecurity

Please help, we need money for medicine by Monday. I'm scared, again and it's starting to turn into panic.

It's February and that means more expenses. My family is living on a single disability check which barely covers utilities, and being poor, disabled, queer, biracial, immunocompromised, and lots of other things that society frowns upon is very expensive. Even beyond that, the fascists have their nails dug in pretty deep here in the US south, and it's a scary place to be.

We need $800 for grocery, clinic, medical supplies, rx, and $400 to replace our dead water heater because going through that freeze without running hot water was awful, to put it mildly.

I am part of a plural system, visibly disabled, biracial, intersex, schizophrenic, impoverished, and probably a few other things that society tends to frown upon.

We have four mouths to feed, two of them canine, two of them human, living on a single disability check which does not cover anything past bills.

When a #neurodivergent person tells you about how something is difficult for them, rather than thinking of them as whiny, consider that this probably means they have a certain level of trust in you to drop their mask enough to do so.

Invalidating that struggle is likely also a pretty effective way of eroding that trust.

We're a visibly disabled, biracial, schizophrenic plural system. I'm an artist and a musician and we're streamers as well. Our household, which includes my best friend, is in need of help because our single disability check doesn't cover anything beyond utilities. We need money for Grocery, supplies, life-saving prescriptions, and doctor visits. This is all necessary to stay alive and housed. Beyond that, our washer is dying again and our water heater blew months ago which is... unpleasant, in the winter.

It would be amazing to get this filled before the holidays - that way we might even be able to get some small gifts for loved ones.

why I no longer question whether I'm #actuallyADHD - I just had another incident where a random thought/stimulus caused me to miss a step when climbing stairs

seems like the rate is about one such incident every ~3 years, just guessing based on my memory of the last one. I wonder how many people have died from this.

I've tried the "don't put it down, put it away" a loooong time, with up and down periods.
Until I read KC Davis explaining what a free day is for her : doing whatever she wants et leaving everything down when she feels like it, BUT with a reset time to clean up at the end of the day.

This truly works for me.
The first method requires constant attention and a lot of executive fonctions, with poor satisfaction.
The second offers me a sense of freedom, where I can truly be myself and enjoy. The reset time is also cool because there is a huge before and after effect that makes me happy.
