@koteisaev Sounds like the use case @yunohost covers, no?
(Kitten is for a far more specific use case but, if you wanted to, you could build a front end for something like what you describe with it.)

@aral @yunohost
I think it would be interesting to connect your features to each other, by adding Kitten to software that would be installed on/with YunoHost, but of course it would need first to create Kitten-based software ("plugins?") with all these functionalities I would like to have together, aimed at single-person usage.
@aral @yunohost
Thanks you both for replies.
I just may be got confused, because each of these fediverse apps designed not as a "plugins" for some foundation like Kitten, such e. g. long-reads/blog authoring for it, or photo gallery feature for Kitten, which would share identity. So I want be kote@example.tld in all of these "plugins" and across Fediverse. These isolated apps at best would live at blog.example.tld, photos.example.tld, news.example.tld and im.example.tld domains set.

@koteisaev @yunohost Yeah, I hear you: my plan for the self-hosted social network is to have these sort of plugins (or “features” as I call them) for a core system so it’s very lightweight. But it won’t be ActivityPub (which isn’t lightweight and involved duplication of content) but peer-to-peer. But all the stuff that Yunohost helps you self host exists today whereas what I’m working on doesn’t. (Kitten is just the generic peer-to-peer web server/framework for creating peer-to-peer web apps.)
Thank you very much @aral (and our best regards, by the way !)
@koteisaev :
Elena's ( @elena, coucou !) use case seems to match what you describe.
She talks about it in this recording (with English subtitles): https://videos.globenet.org/w/wTYGCjA4UuziSR4AAKPk5P?start=28m53s
Happy selfhosting!
@yunohost @aral
Thanks, I watched significant parts of video.
Thank you @elena for sharing the experience and answering to questions.
I am at easier position than you, because I am not very social person, I am not a community leader, so I don't have some community to keep or bring from one bank of the river to another.
And this is another reason why I feel often as a "too small" case for many software, e. g. pixelfed and Peertube, or Mastodon.
This is why I thought about Small Web software 🧵
@aral @yunohost @koteisaev @elena This is how we do it.
@koteisaev hello! 👋
thanks to the WONDERFUL @yunohost I have a VPS running my self-hosted #GoToSocial instance (this one), #Pixelfed for photos and #PeerTube for videos.
I also have a #LinkStack account (think: Linktree alternative - https://elena.social) and if I wanted I could host my own Wordpress site (but I've been running my own, outside of the YH system, since 2010).
I cannot recommend #YunoHost enough. They're THE BEST 🏆
@koteisaev P.S.: oh and NextCloud too! (which replaces Dropbox, WeTransfer and Google Docs for me). How could I have forgotten NextCloud? It's AMAZING
@elena @koteisaev @yunohost Hey Elena, just wanted to mention that Loops is now officially supported on Yunohost, and I'm working with them to ensure stable support.
The Loops mobile app is coming very soon!
@dansup @yunohost congratulations, that's amazing Dan! 🙌
Please ping me once the mobile app is ready so I will update my Fedi stock photo if needed:
