@ascentale @RossA @bikenite A2. I don't have a cargo bike specifically and aren't in the UK, but do treat mine like one and have a trailer on regularly.

Weather is the same as any bike: light layers and accept you might be a tad damp. Distance and weight are related, but basically boils down to easier gearing and taking it a little slower. More annoying is locking up, which is more limited the bigger the bike is, and transit which is effectively a no go. Avoid hills if you can.
