102nd, Glisan, 122nd Ave. Known for being deadly streets. Three unarmored people killed with cars in one night. These are #crashNotAccident #trafficEngineering Design Failure, #ZeroVision. Slow down, turn your lights on, get your city to install #bollards and #stuffInTheStreet #VisionZero #Portland #pdxBikes

"2022... project lowered the speed limit (from 35 and 40 mph to 30 mph) removed one of the general travel lanes and added buffered bike lanes in each direction. Unfortunately PBOT did not install any physical protection"

How do #trafficEngineers, knowing that 11mph over the speed limit is a given (if enforcement was going to happen at all), post 30mph on a surface street through a city? #VisionZero

20 mph car hitting a pedestrian is fatal 10% of the time
80% of 40mph collisions are fatal for the pedestrian
