While my wife gets ready to head out for the day for her birthday, a quick spin for me while I wait.
As I mentioned the last time I posted a Descendents record (I Don鈥檛 Want To Grow Up), this band and my early teenage years go hand in hand.
Grow Up, this, and Everything Sucks represent a very special time in my life, and I guess you could say I鈥檓 very sentimental about these records. However, I feel that as far as a lot of that simplistic punk from back then goes, Descendents records still sound great to my ears. I can still listen to them and enjoy them at 48, the same way I did when I was a teenager.
Not a single song longer than two minutes and ten seconds.
Absolute bliss, man.
