#OnThisDay, 23 Oct 1915, 20,000+ women march in a 5 mile long parade through New York City, USA, demanding the right to vote.

There is no record of African-American women being invited to join the march.

large crowds watch the parade. The front has 24 women all in white and carrying banners. Everyone is white.
