Follow-up #camping #gear question!

Thanks again for the help. After some reflection on previous solo-camping with toddler I realise a key thing to yr round happiness is a better sleeping pad.

The high R-value ones we have are bulky. So I'm considering a strong somewhat "lightweight/compact" duo pad*.

Combined with a <2kg tent (Hubba 2p) I'm ok transporting this.

Any ideas / experiences with this setup?

note 1: Yes. As a 40+ yr old who is learning to deal with the fact that mornings are starting to come with minor backache having a sleeping pad heavier than the tent sounds like pure bliss.

note 2: Posted this with the parenting hashtag as maybe some other parents have good tips of backpacking / cycling with one adult and one freeloading hobbit.
