My personal stance on #Bluesky is very simple, I don't interact a lot there, most of my content are due to crosspostings.

Despite not talking to people there, somehow I got +500 followers in a very short time.

I initially went there to recreate my local hub from Twitter, instead I got almost the same type of people I follow here already, but a bit more peacocking and annoying.

Twitter remains my local 9/11 news alert system. Always something happens and msm is the last to know.

@jbz Same here. I only cross-post on #Bluesky. I might spin up my Twitter in extraordinary circumstances, but didn't need to do so this year at all.

@jbz

You picked up a lot of AI bots. Not followers that have reading comprehension.

@SpaceLifeForm not really, a lot of people here had accounts on bsky, threads, etc. I just don't see the point of following the same people across the same type of networks.

For some #Bluesky is essential, they won't go back to #Twitter, and can't handle #Fedi for reasons, that may be personal or commercial reasons.

Similarly, I'll never stop using WA and FB Marketplace, since those tools are essential to my living. Telegram is the 2nd most popular choice.

No fedi/foss tool/platform/protocol will replace that stack down here anytime soon.

Network effects are too powerful.
