hello fediverse!

does anyone have some favourite #recipes that are #glutenfree and also #vegan (or rather, are completely milk-free, but i'm kinda 'rounding up' to vegan tbh) and peanut-free? what are brands for these things to look out for? what are some brands you always avoid? an emphasis on kid-friendly stuff would also be fantastic, if anyone has any knowledge they can share!

one of my niblings has just gotten a long list of food allergies and... i am someone who is probably 90% cheese by volume, lol, and obviously there's a lot of this i don't know! gluten-free, peanut-free and milk-free are the big absolutes right now. thankfully it's not an anaphylaxis level allergy, but it sure is a "wreck the entire digestive system" level allergy. as you can imagine working this out is a little overwhelming, because it's just a world that i don't have much experience with. if any of y'all do, i would very, very much appreciate the scuttlebutt!! thank you so much in advance, please have this capybara for your help 馃檱 and feel free to boost this! boost_ok

as an additional thing, if anyone's got like... parenting resources? i'm not going to get too deep into the weeds, my sister's on mom duty and i'm only the confused auntie several states away. so more like...

...if you're up to date with the latest American Girl dolls or w/e and one of them has a food allergy, or there's like a Barbie movie where Midge has celiac disease etc etc. you get the idea, if there's media for not-extremely-little-kids where they have a little aesop of Some People Need To Eat Different Food And That's Great and idk one of the Monster High crew can demonstrate things like "advocating for yourself when you're offered food that isn't good for you"... i would really appreciate a holler about where to look.

fortunately nibling with this has 1. known for a bit that food allergies/sensitivities are a thing, thanks to extended family; 2. isn't a LITTLE-little kid. like elementary school, not kindergarten. it's less needing some stories about always trusting what mom and dad tell you to eat and to mind them when they say no bc they're not being unfair but instead looking out for you, more about needing some stories of knowing you gotta have food that's good for you and pushing back against the people who might say "but just one slice of pizza won't hurt you that bad!".

i'm sure these things exist! and i'm sure i could find them with research! but i also know that many folks have been on this road before me and y'all are going to have the expert knowledge - so if you've got it, i would really appreciate you tossing some my way! boost_ok
