I totally wasn't gonna buy any more fabric this year. The one allowed exception was coating fabric, because my current coat is starting to show its age.

And then, of course, Les Coupons de Saint Pierre started to sell this year's coating fabrics.

For my next coat I bought two 3m coupons: wool blend coating at €45 and complimentary colour viscose for lining at a smashing €9 on sale.

Coatings are expensive. Add lining, interfacing, buttons, other notions, and the absurd amount of time it takes to make a coat and it's a pricey goddamn project. So I've been looking for coating fabrics I'd like at a price point I'd like for almost two years.

Yeah, I can be patient.

The coat is gonna be By Hand London Rumana, single breasted and shortened to the knee.
