Unfortunately, there isn't really a viable alternative that's any better from an ethical standpoint. It's the only Google service I consciously use, and for bands I really care about, I try to buy their music and host it locally on Jellyfin. The trouble is, places like Bandcamp just don't have anywhere near enough selection.
