I understand moving away from Spotify due to price hike and other reasons, but is Youtube (Google) really an advisable alternative these days?

ich überlege seit Längerem einen eigenen kleinen Server anzuschaffen, um z.B. Daten auf verschiedenen PCs zu synchronisieren, ihn als Cloud zu benutzen #NextCloud und meine private Kommunikation darüber laufen zu lassen #matrix #elementx .
Kennt sich damit jemand aus und weiß woher man online gute Informationen dazu bekommt? Z.B. zu Verschlüsselung, Sicherheit, Management des Systems, etc.
Ich würde mich sehr über Hinweise freuen. Gerne teilen :)

I've got a question: few month ago I migrated to GrapheneOS and everything is fine so far.
Just recently I wanted to add a virtual creditcard to be used via NFC. Is there any other app for this than Google Wallet? Because, well, I managed to get Wallet installed and even started by giving a few more rights to sandboxed Play Service, but as soon as I actually wanted to add the credit card, it denied because my device (obviously) is rooted. I guess, if there is no alternative app, my two only options are to go back to stock Android (bad option!) or get a physical credit card?

#Mastodon läuft gut. Ich (das FÖJ) arbeite nun an einem Vortrag darüber, den ich bei einem Vereinstreffen halten werde. Am Ende soll ich Menschen anleiten, auf Mastodon zu starten.
Ich würde - um Überforderung vorzubeugen - gerne eine App für's Handy empfehlen, nur welche? Usability ist sehr wichtig. Die Zielgruppe sind keine digital natives.

Meine Freundin und ich benutzen Google Kalender um gegenseitig unsere Kalender einsehen zu können.
Wir haben keinen gemeinsamen, sondern zwei einzelne, sie mit ihrem Google Konto und ich mit meinem. Wir haben gegenseitige Bearbeitungsrechte, können Termine einsehen, bearbeiten und anlegen. Das funktioniert grundsätzlich prima.
Gibt es für diesen Use-Case eine Open Source Alternative? Was nutzt ihr für eure Termin Organisation?

there's the hashtag #unplugTrump which is about moving away from US billionaire owned technology. It is still mostly a German hashtag but that might change. People have been motivating each other and recommending things. Maybe it'll be helpful to you?
