It's IDF propaganda and you're buying it.
Besides pushing your social weight over Fabio with fallacious comments, are you going to go into record about your position in respect to the treatment of the Palestinian population by the Israel government?
Because right now you sound like an IDF apologist.
Oh Eugen, ¿it was possible, that the owner of mastodon.social, will do the right thing for once?
Asking for the temporary close down of Jews museums, to separate themselves, from the #Israel#Zionist is a great idea.
Zionist killed 60000+ people and are #starving a couple of millions. Commiting #war #crimes and commiring a #genocide in #gaza and an #ethnic #cleansing, according to the #ICJ in #hague.
Stop programming for a few hours and read what the world says in mastodon. And don't pretend to be more clever or witty than the rest of the world and the ICJ judges.
Germany and germans are loosing this argument, big time, all over the world.
Israel are #criminals and #murderers since 1948. That is an historical fact as big as the Jewish Holocaust.
I have called for the accountability of those behind those foundations and the right investigations to ensure that:
They don’t have ties with the current regime and with the IDF, and don’t act like acts of propaganda (something that unfortunately some foundations have done a bit too often lately - proofs were provided in my posts).
The money they get is reinvested into proper historical research, initiatives for peace and condemnation of all the genocides (and they’re currently failing to do that too), and not to fund the bombs on Gaza (something that they can’t confirm as long as they have high-ranking IDF staff on their boards, example: https://www.auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschwitz-council/iac-members/avner-shalev/). A foundation that dismisses accountability for the actions of their own government (“it’s Hamas’ fault for using civilians as human shields”) and writes things like “we make these demands with all of our might” raises more than one red flag about its actual purpose: https://www.auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschwitz-council/. And I’m not the only one making these arguments - prominent Jewish profiles have made them too. All cited in my posts.
“Never again means never again for everybody”.
Once we are sure that we’re all in good faith we can support them as much as we’ve always done. But now I don’t think that many of those folks are really doing a good job keeping the memory of the dead alive, nor that they are in good faith.
Just like right now I wouldn’t feel comfortable to buy Israeli oranges because I can’t be sure that they were not grown on stolen land, so I don’t feel comfortable going to a Holocaust museum without knowing that the money for my ticket goes to historical research and initiatives for peace rather than social media posts that boast about “Israel’s military might”. And I have the right to express this opinion without retaliation.
I acknowledge that these are hard topics to talk about. I acknowledge that people can flare up as soon as they hear a word that triggers them. But it doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be talked about. Nor that I should be framed like a Nazi for talking about them. Nor that talking about them means that at the first cherry-picked word I may lose my job or the federation of the instance that I’ve administered for years. Because these are thug threats and fascist intimidation techniques that I’ve been trained to fight and I will keep fighting.
Btw, do you have some comments about the NYT article from the Jewish professor that I’ve used for some of the quotes in my incriminated posts https://archive.is/QQZak?
Or about some of the material about the Auschwitz foundation shared by relatives of survivors who are rightfully offended by the foundation sharing automated posts pulled from outdated databases with incorrent information?

Or are we focused on zooming in on the initials of the words in order to frame people the way we like, while censoring their right to criticize a foundation that doesn’t even bother to check the right names and dates of birth of the victims whose memory they are supposed to commemorate?
