#PennedPossibilities 733 — Tell us what your MC’s home is like.

Alexios lives in a cyberflat. It's in a good end of town, ironically, in the Nightlife District. It's smaller in size but very homey. He doesn't need a gigantic home. There's a kitchenette, a living room area, and a comfy bedroom (with a workspace and desk off to the side by the windows). It's his sanctuary, his tiny space away from the madness of Ethera.

#PennedPossibilities 734 — Have you ever written fanfiction? If so, for which fandoms?

Oh, yeah. I regularly write fanfiction. For many, many fandoms as well. Here are some of them: The Thick of It, Doctor Who, The Hour, The Witcher (books and games), Sherlock Holmes (books), etc.

I've had a ton of my Whovian stories published in both Doctor Who Magazines and big fan zines for charity as well, which feels great.

#PennedPossibilities 735 — What books or magazines do you read regularly, and which ones would you recommend to aspiring writers? (1/2)

Funny, I read a lot of "writing" blogs and books for advice, and I say this as someone who has been writing steadily for two decades. As for books and magazines, read everything you can get your hands on, and I do mean things out of your usual territory for reading as well. The more you read, the more you learn. It's so helpful. I spend a lot of time in the library and using Libby here in the US. So incredibly helpful. The process of learning never actually stops. It continues all throughout our lives. If you stop, things grow stagnant. That's the opposite of what you want. Read about things that you're curious about, things that interest you, and even things you've never cared about as well. Take it all in. Everything helps. We're sponges, and we soak it all in.
