Lived in apartheid era. Hated it. My family was scorned due to being opposed to it. We wanted freedom for all.
In the end what did I/we gain?
I'm still ridiculed, scorned cause I have a criminal record.
I'm glad everyone is free, but why do we have to still suffer?
Daily people say, you 50+, white, you a racist.
Wish this hate of this and that could stop.
My grandfather use to say a person is a person till he or she proves you wrong.
That waisted energy, rancour, could be used for so much good.
