In the EU such a system is already in place: systems are connected and for everything your government ID-number is required. Undocumented foreigners in theory can not get health care or rent a house.
Still doctors, dentists, schools and church networks help people. Immigrants are still there and find a job, working for the general welfare of the country.

So what does IRS want to achieve? bureaucracy?

@ProPublica

So, instead of going after criminals, the Trump administration is going after immigrants who work (probably in jobs American's won't do) and pay taxes to the USA, and get nothing in return for those taxes.

Spending govt money to arrest and imprison people who put money in to the system (pay taxes), but can't get any money out of the system.

The private prison system gets big bucks, but no one else in the US benefits.
