California’s new data broker deletion tool lets you request your 'pseudoanonymous' personal info be erased - but to use it, you must hand over your real data to the government and brokers. A privacy catch-22: the cure might expose you more than the disease. Even if you submit a request, how long will it remain effective? With ever-changing advertising IDs and data re-collection, can deletion ever be guaranteed?

The best bet? 👉 Use only privacy-respecting software and hardware from the start, so the problem never arises in the first place.
