Fair cop. The original trilogy as a whole makes for a much more interesting story, A New Hope is just the entry point. Did having watched Andor first make the Empire feel like more of an irredeemable threat, and the rebels' victory over them any sweeter?

It just occurred to me that the original Avatar movie was essentially a really elaborate, standalone remake of Return of the Jedi. Although so far, the Avatar sequels and making the Star Wars prequels look much better by comparison, storywise.

Some say that in Return of the Jedi, the heroes' plan to save Han from Jabba is incoherent. It only makes sense if the heroes each independently decided to save Han without telling anyone else: https://uproxx.com/movies/what-was-lukes-plan-star-wars-return-of-the-jedi/

Let's take that seriously. Why would the heroes have hidden their plans to save Han from each other? I propose it is because they all had (secret?) crushes on Han, so they pretended not to like him enough to save him, while panicking over his captivity in private.

It makes no sense.
