Hi Fediverse, I’m Mike, and this is Adventure Adjacent.

This account is for the project: stories, photos, and videos from a well-used 2007 FJ Cruiser, my dog Hugo in the back seat, and all the “almost home” adventures that happen on the way to the grocery store or the trailhead.

What you’ll see here:
• Links to new Field Notes on adventureadjacent.com: trip reports, driveway fixes, and journal entries from the edges of the map.
• Stream announcements and highlights from calm driving, hunting, and builder sims (ATS, ETS2, theHunter:COTW, city builders, etc.).
• Occasional behind-the-scenes bits about cameras, audio, editing, and trying to make all this look more intentional than it really is.

The tone I’m aiming for:
• No rage bait, no culture-war chum.
• Respect for public land, workers, and the places we pass through.
• Space for people who are curious, learning, and maybe a little tired.
