Not all the Knights of the Round Table were British or even European. The Middle Eastern knight Sir Palamedes was a rival of Sir Tristan for Iseult in the Arthurian romances, and he was featured in "Le Morte d'Arthur" as one of King Arthur's noblest champions.

Stand-alone artworks, or offers to illustrate a story, are also welcome!

Call for Submissions for my queer Arthurian anthology!

I'm delighted to officially open submissions for my anthology, Passing Strange: Queer Weird Arthurian Tales. Stories and narrative non-fiction are welcome. We're looking for three elements in each piece: Queer: At least one main character belongs to the LGBTQ+ spectrum, defined in whatever way seems natural to them. Weird: The story contains a speculative fiction element, drawing

Among the old British Celts, a newborn prince would often be given to another family to raise until he became an adult. In some early King Arthur stories, Arthur is raised by the fairies. In later stories, he's instead raised by Sir Ector, the father of Kay (Arthur's best friend).
