A Piping Plover chick scampers over wet pale sand with very shallow tide pools. This super tiny downy chick is sandy-gray on top, white underneath, had a short, solid black bill, and golden-brown legs with very big feet.

It's now Baby Bird Time in Ōtautahi-Christchurch city, New Zealand.
