I have been diligently at work working on the #adventOfCyber 2025 content again this year, checking the various tasks for #accessibility hurdles and, where possible, providing ways to dodge/hack around them. This wasn't always possible, but at least more possible than the last two years.
Today at 3 PM EST we'll blitz through the last 6 days on stream, showing that while #accessibility issues are rampant, a #screenReader user can absolutely complete the majority of these and might even learn a thing or two in the process!

Clojure has no built-in integer exponentiation, so I stole an implementation off the internet.

The list handling functions make this a rather elegant solution, I think.

Advent of Code will be running fewer puzzles per year from now on, due to the effort involved being unsustainable.

It will also be removing the global leaderboards (private ones remain). People were definitely always super toxic about the global leaderboard, but I have to assume that people setting up AI scripts to hammer the site, grab the problem and attempt to solve it faster than a human could even read it were the last straw.
