For all my #Linux friends, or those looking to get away from #Microsoft #Windows11 I've recently found the most fantastic program (Note that it's in Beta still) called #WinBoat
It lets you run Windows applications windowless through #kvm using #Docker on your Linux desktop, giving it an almost native application feel.
If anyone knows a way to get these dev's sponsored they need help working out GPU bypass so that #LinuxGaming becomes an option as well.
Has anyone here used #WinBoat on #Linux? (https://www.winboat.app/) Apparently it runs an instance of Windows (or some of one?) in a Docker container, and you can then run native Windows apps using that instance for resources and so on.
Sounds a bit like "just another Wine-alike", except that this guy (https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/rhino-on-linux/8820/816) got Rhino 3D 8 running easily and flawlessly under Linux with it, which is frankly astonishing and also potentially solved my blocker for switching to Linux at home!
