Hey Ontario! You've heard of the disastrous Ford bill to destroy tenant rights, but did you know that Omnibus Bill 60 would entirely wipe out the ability of cities to right-size their roads by reducing lanes _at all_, not even just for bike lanes?
If you care about fewer people dying on Ontario roads, the environment and transit, or even just getting where you want to go efficiently (more lanes doesn't mean better traffic flow! Often, exactly the opposite via induced demand), you should care about this provision.
A friend called Ford's office this morning and the staffer answering didn't have any idea what provision they were referring to - that means not nearly enough people know about this proposal and are making it known that this is unacceptable.
Give your MPs and Ford's office a call, eh about Bill 60's threat to municipal control over their streets and transportation infrastructure, eh?
