We leverage chromaprint, and use exact matches, though we can support partial matches using fragments and a clever algorithm.

We've been working hard to ship the Sound Library feature, allowing you to explore videos using similar sounds, re-use sounds in your own videos (if allowed) and import sounds from Funkwhale or other providers!
