Got my retro rock tune up tonight. Two chords with capo on the 5th fret. Em and A fingering shapes. Basically I just recorded a bunch of jam tracks, wrote some lyrics and pieced it into a song. The lyrics are about my sweetie Wendy. Been together 39 years now. The song is my Valentine’s Day gift for her. I needed a break tonight so I finally got around to learning how the mxr layers pedal works, and had a fun time playing around once I learned how to use it.
It's a very cool one-trick pony. The way I put it to my friend: I probably wouldn't be particularly excited to see a whole show of someone playing one of these (prove me wrong), but it's really got a vibe, and gets you to play something you otherwise wouldn't.

Guitar is sanded and edges rounded, sealed and filler applied - the wood has lots of little cracks along the grain, and I like a very smooth surface for Geometrons. #gearsquad #guitar #painting #fender #telecaster #MastoArt

Hey guitar players of #GearSquad, I'm curious to know about your gear for home practice! I'm becoming more and more unhappy with my practice amp and looking for new options. Ideally fairly cheap and able to play at low volumes but feel free to comment anyway if you play a boutique tube amp with an attenuator or something.
New Guitar Day! First #PRS and first #baritone for me.
I spontaneously bought this when seeing it in Denmark Street today (2nd hand). It desperately needs new strings, but a few hours of earth-shaking low-B-riffing and droning in the studio confirmed that I made the right choice.
I was planning to get a baritone for a while now, and this one has most features I was looking for: semi-acoustic, P90s, light weight (3.3 kg), the only thing missing is a vibrato.
