I CLOCKED IN A 10K BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR!
So so happy, I didn’t think I’d make it in 2025!
I was going for a light 20 min run, and felt like going for another lap… and another… and here I am!

First 10k race is done with a chip time of 1:11:46 which I’m very pleased with since maybe two thirds was running on the beach at Weston-Super-Mare and I was dressed up as Father Christmas. Great atmosphere, great support from marshals and spectators and a brilliant medal (my first so the bar is low but it is actually rather good). The coffee we got at the end might have been the worst I have ever had however!
Better run than I thought this morning, after a nasty weekend!
I’ve changed my perspective on runs. Instead of seeing them as “how much do I perform” I now see them as “how well can it prepare me for my next run.”
It helps me focus on my posture rather than my pace, and that’s exactly what I need!
