Lots of gems from Benno's keynote this morning but 10/10 for community building, _local_ community building, and how that helps us all defend against people who don't have society's best interests at heart.
(Also, that those in privileged categories need local community to "know who you're helping", because if you don't find out, where's the pressure to make space, leave aside your financial incentives, etc)
Deeply smart and compassionate talk, well worth your time.
Today's keynote on neurodiversity in capitalism really hit home in a few too many places. I have in the past given up and walked home after being unable to get into an event because the entrance was a bit unclear or difficult and it was a pleasant surprise to hear the speaker mention that as a thing. #autistic #kiwipycon
