The UK government arresting 166 citizens (and counting) for standing in public with hand-drawn signs opposing #genocide, #starvation, #extermination, #ForcedDisplacement and other #CrimesAgainstHumanity: "This is terrorism!"
This statement is, of course, correct.
This is indeed a tactic of terror, deploying violence and the threat of violence against civilians to pursue a political agenda through fear. However, it is not the dignified grandmothers, retired magistrates, and scores of other ordinary people courageously upholding the longstanding and noble tradition of #nonviolent #DirectAction for social justice who are engaging in #terrorism.
