Regarding #Altmetrics, I contacted them some time ago to ask about adding Mastodon to their list of monitored sites. They said

We are not actively working on including Mastodon yet as currently we're focusing on other social media networks but the federated aspect of Mastodon's design along with the limitations on full-text search (which would prevent us from identifying the mention of a specific URL pointing to research results) have been some challenges we have identified in our preliminary analysis. We will look again into the option of ingesting Mastodon data in 2025.
