Side note, VA Ben Galpin's best moment is not actually in Re: Dracula; it's his absolutely unhinged reading of a Dracula version of the infamous "Jurgen Leitner rant"* from #TheMagnusArchives / #tma fandom. I especially like his reading of "I would piss on God's feet". (mp3, post)
Incidentally, Yiddish emerged about a thousand years ago, solidly in the medieval period—so there is no such thing as "ancient Yiddish" and the earliest form would pretty much be Middle High German.
Also, I've mentioned this before on a previous account, but I don't think there's a direct equivalent to "to fuck up" in Yiddish. There's a lot of words for a person who fucks up, and for general fucked-upness, but as far as I know there isn't an obscene verb for fucking up. If anyone knows more, please tell me.
