So, how much do you want your lives and your public services depending on generative models owned and controlled by these same corporations enabling the creeping fascism around the world?

Onr of the things I really love about Andor is that although it's grim AF, we already know how the story ends. The authoritarian Empire in that story seems unstoppable. But it falls. It falls.

Always darkest before dawn folks.

BTW By the same logic as Machete Order, watch Rogue One first. Stories are released out of chronological order for a reason.

I rewatched it after I finished Andor and it was flawed and cartoonish as I remembered. Not yucking your yum if you liked it, but I hope you'd agree it doesn't hold a candle to its prequel series.

@strypey I thought it was interesting how simplistic episode IV felt, watching it again directly after Andor and then a rewatched Rogue One. And I don’t mean the special effects, though Ep IV’s set design of course pales in comparison to the beautiful visual feast and cinematography that was Andor.

No, I mean the story. Ep IV is actually a fairly benign hero’s journey action flick; Andor S2 is one of the most brilliant political commentaries ever. Absolutely loved it.

Fair cop. The original trilogy as a whole makes for a much more interesting story, A New Hope is just the entry point. Did having watched Andor first make the Empire feel like more of an irredeemable threat, and the rebels' victory over them any sweeter?

It just occurred to me that the original Avatar movie was essentially a really elaborate, standalone remake of Return of the Jedi. Although so far, the Avatar sequels and making the Star Wars prequels look much better by comparison, storywise.
