NYT reports that the TSA is giving ICE a list of every person who's to be taking a domestic flight inside the US so ICE can run it through their database looking for targets.
I'm not a lawyer, but I feel like the 4th Amendment has something to say about this.

@evacide I knew nothing good could come of the TSA requirement for full passenger manifests 72 hours before a flight. I seem to remember when we passed laws limiting such things, after the Church Committee hearings, back in 1975. But then the USAPATRIOT Act undid _all_ those protections with a single stroke of Dubya's pen.

Combine that with the pervasive surveillance of Flock + Ring digitally stalking every car and person going about their business, with AI itching to flag whatever behavior as unusual, threatening to bring the cops claiming some kind of criminal activity, freedom of movement is under assault.

@evacide The Trump administration has already demonstrated over and over that they don't believe in the 14th amendment, that non-citizens and "illegal" immigrants and undocumented residents don't have rights (they're illegal after all!).
3 months from now, the ACLU might challenge this, but it doesn't matter because families will be separated, hundreds of people will already be in gulag in Texas, and the Department of Homeland Security will flout/ignore the court orders to let them out or administer due process.
@evacide ICE basically has ignored the entire Bill of Rights since the inauguration, not just the 4th amendment! And there's now a judge who is holding a hearing about whether or not ***Trump*** and his subordinates are in contempt of court!

@evacide The 4th is about illegal searches of your home since before this Extreme Court. Privacy laws enacted under Article I powers are what’s being breached.
@evacide It’s more about the Privacy Act than the 4th Amendment - unauthorized use of PII submitted to the Government and creating an unpublished system subject to the Act. The regime has been blowing through that with IRS tax data, SSA data, Treasury payment data, health data each category with its own statutes restricting use and no authority to combine all that with law enforcement data. Unless there is a class action civil lawsuit, very hard to enforce
