@ProPublica several years ago, I had a client who was struggling with leaving the Old Apostolics in another part of the country where they have a presence (in Washington). According to that client, a local sexual abuser was dead, but had abused several kids the client knew of, and had also been very much protected by what was clearly a very high control patriarchal group.

If you really want to protect children from pedophiles, don't waste your time blaming trans people. Focus instead on those who have been found, time after time, to be either abusing children or enabling/covering up abuse -- the "Christian" church.

It's not just a Catholic problem, it's happening in protestant churches, too.
